GET-AWAY WEEKEND EXPERIENCES

We have two great experiences for you to choose from and enjoy.  Join us for a fun Easter weekend full of chocolate, a car rally and BBQ or spend any weekend with your camera in the glorious Irfon Valley under the experienced direction of Ian Nicholson, a brilliant landscape photographer.

Rhedyn is set in the beautiful Irfon Valley with the Cambrian Mountains just 10 minutes to the West, the Mynnt Epynt viewed from our windows and the Brecon Bacons, only 20 minutes away – all beautiful and magical places to photograph.  Ciaran has lead a successful guided walk in the Irfon Valley and has now been exploring the majestic Mynnt Epynt for an enjoyable Easter ramble   Rhedyn supplies contemporary luxury accommodation with great innovative cookery for the whole “Get Away Weekend Experience”.

LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY WEEKEND EXPERIENCE

Rhedyn and local photographer Ian Nicholson have come up with a truly delightful idea for a weekend break in Mid Wales. The opportunity to discover and capture on camera some of the finest scenery in Wales.

Ian works and lives in the area and takes strikingly beautiful landscape photographs of our Irfon Valley and Abergwesyn Common. Together we are offering a special weekend course in the art of landscape photography.

Join us on Friday for a 3 course dinner. Then, after a great Welsh breakfast, spend all day Saturday out in the local countryside under Ian’s direction where you can brush up on your camera craft and learn how to take great landscape shots. The course will be a relaxed affair where you can take as much or as little instruction as you feel you may need.

After breakfast on Sunday, spend the morning working with Ian to make the most of the previous day’s shots on the computer. You will learn how to handle the files and some basic pointers on Photoshop.

Fee: £270 per person based upon 2 people sharing a double room. This includes accommodation, all tuition, breakfast and dinner for 2 nights.

EASTER WEEKEND EXPERIENCE

Why not join us at Rhedyn for a fun experience at EASTER.

 

We will welcome you on Friday with tea and Teisen Mel (Welsh Honey Cake), a traditional Welsh Easter cake.  Dessert this evening will be chocolate heaven! On day two we have organised an in-car road Easter Egg Hunt with a stop off for a pub lunch.  Dinner this evening will be local new season Welsh lamb (with little or no food miles!).  On Day three Ciaran will lead you on a guided walk exploring the Drovers Trail and Red Kite Station on the Mynnt Epynt followed by - we hope - a sunny relaxing BBQ. After a full breakfast on Monday we will sadly wish you goodbye, but Mid-Wales still has the nearby Elan Valley to explore or Big Pit – a must do experience - before heading home.

For a two night Easter experience - £155 per person (based upon two people sharing a double room)
