Croeso - Welcome to Rhedyn

Set in a tranquil location in Mid Wales Rhedyn Guest House offers modern newly refurbished accommodation in three ensuite double bedrooms, two with own entrance and all with tea and coffee making facilities, TV, DVD and fridge. We are also wi-fi available if you really must bring your laptop. Here at Rhedyn we love providing and producing excellent food either for our extensive breakfasts or an intimate and delicious evening meal.

We are set in the middle of a field about a mile outside Cilmery, a small village with its own pub and four miles from Builth Wells, famous for hosting The Royal Welsh Show in July, Britain's largest County Show.

Rhedyn B&B has now teamed up with Ian Nicholson, a very talented landscape photographer, to create our "Get Away Weekend Experience". Your holiday begins on Friday with a seasonal evening meal. After breakfast on Saturday, Ian will take everybody onto the Irfon Valley where they will snap up the landscape views and any passing Red Kite or buzzard. Please see our Latest page for details.

There are magnificient views of the mountains deep in the heart of the beautiful Mid Wales countryside. If you are feeling energetic there is wonderful walking and riding to be found in the rolling hills and pastures of the Irfon Valley. Nearby Llanwtryd Wells ,set in the heart of the Cambrian Mountains, is an absolute gem of a place for cyclists. It offers - road and off road - traffic free cycling.

The Rhedyn sits a few hundred yards from the River Irfon, a prime spot for Salmon, Trout and Grayling and a tributary of the classic fly fishing waters of The River Wye.

Cilmery is on the Heart of Wales rail line. Hay on Wye, The Brecon Beacons and the Elan Valley are all accessible. Bicycles can be hired in Llanwtryd Wells or Builth Wells, pony trekking in the Black Mountains and water sports on the River Wye. For golf enthusiasts Builth Wells has a well known and varied 18 hole Golf Course.

For the first time Rhedyn opened its doors for Christmas in 2009 - it was so successful we will do it again in 2010.
